An Open Heart
“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle” – Psalm 24:7-8
Know that God stands at the door and knocks, and it is up to us to open the gates and doors of our hearts to let Him in. Don’t allow anyone or anything to crowd Him out. And don’t be afraid to surrender what’s most precious to you in the process. If we receive Him fully, He is able to stand in the gap for us and cause us to triumph over our circumstances and enemies.
Lord, as we lift up our eyes to the hills, open the everlasting doors of our souls by grace that we may receive You and be fully Yours. Amen.
