Patience – A Most Useful Tool

In this age of technology, we have become so accustomed to everything being at our fingertips—getting information and responses almost immediately. Have you ordered from Amazon or Target lately? Gone are the days of waiting weeks for an item to arrive; instead deliveries are made within hours. While technology allows us to be more productive, it also creates in us an attitude that can set us up for disappointment, and even failure.

Because we can generally have things when and how we want them, we often become irritated with people and processes that take more time than we’re willing to give. And unfortunately, even God is not exempt from our expectations. And this my friends, can be most problematic especially when faced/dealing with less than favorable circumstances – from which none of us have a perpetual  “pass go” card.

In times of challenge let patience, not passion, work in us. Whatever is said or done, let patience have the saying and doing of it. And when the work of patience is complete, it will furnish all that is necessary for our Christian race and warfare. (James 1:3-4).

Patience is a virtue, perhaps rare in these days and times, yet very critical to our Christian walk. Embrace and cherish it always!

Love You All to Life!!
