Sharon Thompson is the First Lady of Faith Fellowship Church, where she has served alongside her husband, Pastor Keith A. Thompson for the past 21 years.  She has been married to her husband for 35 years, and they are the proud parents of three young adults (Lauren, Erika and Bryan) who also serve with them in ministry.

Over the past 30 years, Lady Sharon has served in various ministry capacities, including Sunday School treasurer, Sunday School teacher for primary-aged children, and Junior Church Youth leader.  She also established and led the Youth Sunday School department and played a key role in the women’s ministry for a startup church before working with her husband to establish Faith Fellowship Church.  She currently serves as the overseer for the Women’s, Praise and Worship and Pastor’s Aide ministries, as well as Church Treasurer.

Lady Sharon was educated in the District of Columbia Public School system and graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor’s in Accountancy. She has always had a keen interest in serving others and her community, and has been an active participant, as well as executive officer and committee chair for the PTA at her children’s schools, a class parent volunteer, and a regular volunteer in various community activities. She also serves on the board of two professional organizations.

Lady Sharon is the President and CEO of Growing Edge, LLC, providing life and career success coaching and professional development training to support individuals and groups in overcoming barriers to achieving their personal and professional goals.  Growing Edge was born out of Lady Sharon’s extensive experience informally coaching and mentoring new and seasoned professionals and students, as well as her desire to see people achieve career satisfaction and life balance as they pursue their passions.

Lady Sharon has a love for learning and sharing inspiration with others, especially women and children.  She strongly believes in the transforming power of the Gospel as lived out through the lives of Christ’s servants.  Her heart’s desire is to see everyone realize their God-given purpose and destiny and use their gifts to further the Kingdom.
