The scriptures tell us to love [our] neighbor as [ourselves]. And who is that neighbor some ask? Well, it’s everyone we encounter.  It certainly includes those in need of compassion and mercy –  the very same God has so graciously poured out and still pours out upon us. Let’s never forget our humble beginnings and disperse the loving power, the impact Jesus has had in our lives to all we encounter, and especially those in need.

When we take the time to show love through giving [and share of our substance], we become conduits of God’s grace, vessels of God’s mercy; and therefore find we’ll never lack for anything.

“Nothing is really ours until we share it” – C.S. Lewis
