Love – A Transformative Power
“Love suffers long and is kind…love never fails…”. (1 Cor 4-8). We’ve read that scripture countless of times but how often do we really take it to heart? I think I’m safe in saying that we tend to be hardest on ourselves – super critical when we err, ungentle and unkind at times. The reality is that if we’re hard on ourselves we’re likely to be hard on others. And we can’t truly share the love of God in any meaningful and lasting way if we are not first partakers and accepting of His love. In other words, we can’t give what we don’t have, no matter how hard we try.
Allow yourself to experience the depth of God’s love, grace and mercy. Refuse to give in to the enemy’s plan to keep you isolated and stuck. Be kind and gentle to you, and you’ll begin to experience the freedom to give the same to others in a way that will truly be transforming.
