Confidence in God or Control

Can we honestly say we have confidence in God’s grace and care or does our confidence come from our own ability to control?  I submit that we often find ourselves operating from a mindset of control, rather than submission (oops….I said one of the “S” words 😲). And that need to control is often tied to fear or anxiousness. In other words, our level of comfort and motivation more often than not may stem from the circumstances over which we have direct control — after all it’s our human tendency to want to have complete charge over our lives. Am I right about it? 😉 🤔

But remember, we don’t have to go it alone because we have a Heavenly Father just waiting to embrace us and lead us through lush pastures — for He Is our shepherd. If we can just let go of our need to control and rest in/ have confidence in God’s ability to direct every area of our lives, we’ll be able to experience a peace that only He can give.

The Bible reminds us, “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Know that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. You are God’s child and He wants the best for you always. So step back and be confident in God’s ability to direct/lead you into plain paths and beside still waters.

Love You All to Life!!
