His Strength Is Perfect
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6.
While there are times when our way through a thing may seem dim and dark, and downright confusing at times, don’t be ashamed to ask God for wisdom and the courage to leave it with Him. He is standing at the door knocking, dying to have us open ourselves to Him (submit and surrender to His leading) so He can clear the path forward.
The question is will we let Him in or will we continue to push forward in our own thinking, agenda and plans; which if we’re honest leads to more stress and sleepless nights.
Let’s commit to leaning on God instead of wasting precious time leaning on our limited understanding. As CeCe Winans ministers in one of my favorite songs, know that “His strength is perfect when our strength is gone, and He carries us when we can’t carry on. Strength in His power the weak become strong…His strength is perfect.”
Above all, remember Jesus’ words “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor 12:9). And we know that the joy of the Lord is [our] strength (Neh 8:10).
