Morning Manna

We’ve all heard that holding onto the past prevents us from seeing and taking hold of the opportunities that lie before us.  A wise mentor once told me to put old things [hurts, disappointments, self-imposed limitations, failures] in the rearview mirror because it’s hard to go forward while looking backward.  While it’s sometimes difficult not to ruminate over the past, our future really depends upon us overcoming those hurdles.  Let’s be honest, holding onto the hurt in some ways feeds our need to feel sorry for ourselves or be seen as the “victim”.  (It’s okay, I’m also curling my toes right about now.😕) God too wants to do a new thing in our lives.  But in order to take advantage of what He has to offer we must let go and stop rehearsing past hurts, and reposition ourselves to a new place where God can speak life into us. “…Forgetting those things which are behind….I press toward the mark….”

Love You to Life!
