The various ministries are built on the philosophy of
encouraging, empowering, and enabling members to live life to the fullest
potential as God has ordained, and to adopt the Christian principles and values
necessary to maintain a fulfilling relationship with our heavenly Father and
fellow man. The church’s theme
scripture is:
“Til we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a full-grown man, unto the measure of the
stature of the fullness of Christ.”
Preaching
This
ministry along with teaching, is the foundation for the church and is carried
out by the Pastor and designated clergy of the church.
(II
Timothy 4:1 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove,
rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.”)
Preaching involves an exhortation or admonition of the Word of God for
the spiritual growth of the congregation. It
is the specific word spoken through the Pastor and clergy that God has given for
the church body. The preached Word
of God will also be carried out through audio and video tapes.
Teaching
This
ministry, also a foundation for the church, analyzes the Word sent to the
church. Teaching is also critical
to an individual’s spiritual growth, helping him/her to work out their own
soul’s salvation. (Ephesians
4:11-12 “And he gave some, evangelists, and some, pastors and teachers; for
the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of
the body of Christ.”).
Evangelism
This
ministry is an outreach ministry, designed to rebuild families, member by
member. It is carried out primarily
by the clergy, deacons, missionaries, and designated lay members of the church,
and is directed at both the family and community
levels.
Fellowship
The fellowship ministries are designed to provide unity in the church by ministering to individuals in the various roles that they play. It includes a single, married and youth ministry, as well as special men’s and women’s ministries. The fellowship ministries are carried out by designated members of the church. Activities involve teaching and special outings and retreats aimed at each group.
